Nature reserves, woodlands, grasslands, farms and gardens in the Brecon Beacons National Park
The National Park is full of wonderful reserves, woodlands and grasslands where you and the family to enjoy the wonders of nature.
One of our most popular places for a waterside picnic or a gentle stroll in pleasant, leafy surroundings is Craig-y-Nos Country Park.
We have also several National Nature Reserves that are delightful to explore. They include Craig-y-Cilau near Crickhowell, Craig Cerrig-Gleisiad southwest of Brecon and the Brecknock Wildlife Trust's Pwll-yr-Wrach near Talgarth.
There are spectacular beechwoods at Cwm Clydach and beautiful mixed woods of lime, oak and hazel coppice at Coed-y-Cerrig, which is always busy with butterflies in summer.
Wherever you go, remember to follow the Countryside Code and do your best to avoid disturbing any wildlife, plants or natural features.
